Definition of Citicoline
Citicoline is the generic name for CDP-choline (cytidine diphosphate choline), an organic molecule produced endogenously and found in all living cells. CDP-choline is a precursor for the synthesis of phospholipids that are essential constituents of cell membranes, including phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylserine, and phosphatidyl-ethanolamine. Because cell membranes have a very high turnover rate, these phospholipids must be continuously synthesized to ensure adequate function of cells.

Benefits of Citicoline for Eye Health
The relationship between the brain and the ocular system is complex, but that doesn’t mean eye health solutions have to be. Emerging research shows that brain-boosting citicoline benefits eye health by supporting proper RGC function and protecting mitochondria in the eyes.
